In Commemoration of
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

September 8th news of Her Majesty’s death came with great sadness. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the only monarch most Canadians have ever known.

Many leaders from around the world have been paying tribute to Her Majesty and I wanted to share my statement on with you. Additionally, all my offices will be flying the Canadian flag at half-mast.

​

To commemorate the Queen’s contributions to Canada, there will be a series of events, a condolence book, and other opportunities to honour her life.

 

You can express your condolences to the Royal Family through the National Book of Condolences or through the Alberta Book of Condolences.

​

On behalf of the people of Battle River—Crowfoot I pay tribute to the extraordinary life of Her Majesty. Further, while all of the Commonwealth is in mourning, Danielle and my thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family as they grieve the Queen’s passing.
