Accessing Information and Government Transparency

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals have avoided accountability at all cost. My Conservative colleagues and I have demanded Parliament start up again, it is unfortunate however that over the course of the pandemic, left leaning political parties in Canada have mostly resisted these calls.

Seniors During COVID-19 and Beyond

For this week’s news column, I felt it was important to address the concerns that were brought to light about seniors’ care. Like many Canadians, I was horrified to read the reports the Canadian Armed Forces published on the status of some seniors’ homes in Quebec and Ontario. Many of you have reached out to voice your concerns about ensuring that those who built our nation are able to live comfortably and with dignity in their later years.

Democracy is an Essential Service

Parliament is a unique and important institution, it is where the people’s representatives from every region of the country come together to debate, dialogue, and make decisions. For more than a century and a half, during wars, depressions, natural disaster and even pandemics, Canada’s Parliament has fulfilled the essential role of providing oversight, giving guidance and ensuring the greatest amount of accountability possible.
